USA Soccer Team for world cup 2010 ... i was very excited saturday evening for USA vs UK... and thanks to Mr Green i haven't been disappointed...  rock seriously ,this team is a good one...
i hope they'll do at least as good as USA Soccer Team did in 1994 ...and even better...   rock rock rock rock rock rock

How important is the World Cup in USA???

I lived for 6 months in L.A. four years ago, Germany 2006, and I remeber it didin't had much impact on people there, may that have changed.

i don't know but i've seen many US supporters in south Africa...and also in France....
what happened this afternoon (USA vs Slovenia ) is a miracle and a shame...they've been stolen..USA won 3-2 ...but the goal has been refused ...shame shame shame.... read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual

The World Cup is not huge in the US, but lots of people will be happy if we do well. Otherwise, most people aren't that interested. I think the sport is too frustrating for Americans that want everything now, want to score, accomplish something right away, etc. Tongue

^^^

I agree, the americans  of The United States tend to want their satisfaction fast and simple. Especially the men, I read a poll recently where american men were ranked the 4th worst lovers in the world.

Who did we beat, the Taliban? The Canadians? Guantanamo?

I don't get it, we in the United States are obssessed with being number 1. We bring big foam rubber fingers to football games stating that we are number 1.

Perhaps we should be bringing those foam rubber fingers into the bedroom.

maybe you're right... but i prefer the American way to think & play than ours(french team): we are presomptuous ,we won once (1998) and are sure we are the best while we are the worst since the beginning of the Cup...our players are selfish ,individualist, egocentric personns,lazzy....we are 11 guys playing soccer and not a team of 11 players....we are sh .... !!!!
since the 1st day i had decided to support france & USA.... now it's only USA....(and Japan for Laurent  happy yes )

What do you think about the last game vs. Mexico??

it's been a total failure for french team (Anelka had been fired from french team & SouthAfrica 'cause of problems with Domenech,it's becoming a national stuff now - shame on us for the image we give to the whole world) but most of all Mexican team wonderfully played & deserved to win...
and you...did you see that game vs Mexico...?

PS: am i the only woman interested in soccer?

Yeah, I saw it, I enjoyed it, it was a historycal match for our country, and a little relief for the situation we are living right now.
Too bad for France, they got really big names on their team, they got a lot potential, but I guess it's like you said, they are not a team right now.

I don't about the other quiestion, but it makes me asking, how many women are active on this board??

like i said , Mexican Team played really really well...players gave all they had to win & it was a real pleasure for us to watch that.... they sincerely were involved into the game...they deserved to win & we deserved to lose...
if wearing the national t-shirt isn't enough to motivate our guys to play the best they can ,then i don't know ..they should give up & let their place to others ...
with all that happened those last 3 days ( Anelka insulted Domenech/FFF fired Anelka/players refused to play for public training/J.L VBalentin from FFF resigned etc....) they just put the shame on all of us :France & all the soccer lovers....
they just forgot 1 very important thing : they're in South Africa because they've stolen the qualification to Ireland team (remember Henry's hand) they should at least try to prove they deserve to be over there .... with PLAIYNG !!!!!  read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual read the f'n manual

ill watch the game vs South Africa but i have no illusion ...  Angry
im very happy for Mexico...soccer has always been a social miracle in every countries all around the world .... viva Mexico...!  rock

about last question ...2 other women are often active on board :Doris (very busy mom) & Oinone.... for the others i don't know very much....
