Beautiful. Oh, I could spend years eating my way through Italy. Such a respect for food.

^^^ your avatar "brodetto di pesce" fish soup You guys make the best food. I make a "zuppa di pesce" with squid, scallops, clams and assorted fish fillets. My avatar is a "Gumbo" which is often made with shrimp and crawfish. The main differences between the two is that Gumbo adds Andouille sausage, is thickened with an African vegetable called okra, and is based with a dark roux. The roux, flour and fat(butter, oil), is stirred over low heat continuously until it is a dark brown. It usually takes me between one hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half to make a roux.

From my objectives here are some great places in Turkey. Of course they're not professionel photos and don't show all of its beauties, but gives an idea. Egirdir Lake / Isparta The Bosphorus / Istanbul Pamukkale / Denizli (including me d= ) Sumela Monastery / Trabzon (my hometown)

Thanks to Oinone, Lunis, Peg, eagle-rare, J.D Casten, phil and Gary for all these wonderful pictures from all over the world. It's really interesting to see where you all live. Here are some pictures from Northern California. San Francisco, California. The city is often foggy in the summer. This was taken in June, before the fog arrives. This is the Trans America Pyramid, seen from Columbus Ave near the City Lights Bookstore. City Lights is owned by a friend of Winona's family.

Marching school band in San Francisco, October 2011 Painted Victorian, Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. Most buildings in California are very modern and new, but the City has many old Victorians built with profits from gold and silver mining.

This picture was taken from San Francisco during the airshow for Fleet Week 2011. It shows part of San Francisco Bay and the Gold Gate Bridge. You can see a United Airlines 747 airliner taking part in the display. Our famous Golden Gate Bridge.
