Wheeee!

« on: June 20, 2011, 07:31:00 PM »

I spent a night handcuffed to a bench.
Unlike my few hundred or so incarcerated brethren in county confines, I was guilty.

I did what I did and would have felt just fine about my transgression if I hadn't been caught.

 Whoo-Hoo!

 It wasn't my first time.
People rarely ever get caught their first time.

But it was going to be my last time.

I didn't like being tethered to a bench.
I didn't like the two hunderd and fifty pound muscles of righteousness clamping
the irons around my wrist. The bruises, the welts. Oh, I did not like the purveyors of law having control over
me.

I thought that if you gave me a broomstick and some private time with Sherriff Humma-Humma,
that you could tether me to a bench for a whole another reason.

 But I was wrong.

Humma-Humma's portal was safe from me.

 I accepted my crime.

I aknowledged my compact with society.
I did not do what I did again.

 Not once.

No more irons for this boy. Not because I am particularly moral, but because no
two hundred and fifty pound monkey will ever have control over me again.

Ever.

 My brother dosn't mind monkeys.
My brother never understood wrong. That was known from the beginning.
He is a son of a bitch.
Bruce Springsteen once sang that a man who turned his back on his family
was no friend of his.
I'm guessing that Bruce Springsteen's brother never raped a woman.
Dan is five years older and finishing his latest nine year stint for raping his step daughter.
I could give you a list of things I know that he has done, but you wouldn't benefit from the
resume.
Some people need to be locked up.

But some also need to escape.

I prefer to think of the latter.

I would rather escape then be a victim of my demons.

 My Top Five Escape Movies.

 1. Papillon
 2. The Defiant Ones
 3. The Great Escape
 4. Runaway Train
 5. Down By Law.

I spent a night in a holding cell.
Dignified arrest, still had my necktie on.
No handcuffs, and got 3 meals, one with fresh fruit.

1)Cool Hand Luke
2)The Shawshank Redemption
3)Escape From Alcatraz
4)Stalag 17
5)The Second Hundred Years

I've been in jail a couple of times. It sucks. I hope to never return. One time I had to strip and shower and wear flip flops and an orange jumpsuit. The guy in the holding cell next to me took all of his clothes off, took a dump and smeared it all over himself. Good times.

lots of great movies listed - I don't think I can add to them

Yikes!

Was that before or after he ate his fresh fruit?

It was after he smoked a lot of crack, I think. I remember one of the police saying that they made a mistake taking him there, that he should have been taken to the psych ward. Luckily I wasn't near the guy. Was getting my mug shot taken at the time.

5)The Second Hundred Years

Stan and Ollie from 1927. They shaved their heads for this prison flic.
(Long before Natalie Portman   Tongue ). As you can see, they dig their way right up into the Warden's office. You can see how blue Stan's eyes really were in this shot. Almost looks blind. Anyway, a funny short film.

Would like to see this film. I have had little  exposure to the boys. I remember viewing one movie. When I was a teen I was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, I wanted to fly planes. Regardless of what Mr. Sacco the gym teacher had to say about my wrestling prowess or my rope climbing skills, at the age of fourteen I could  put a Cessna Piper Cub flat on the runway. The patrol had a weekend bivouac and the first night out the leaders showed us a "training film". It was a Laurel and Hardy movie, something about them moving a piano, I think.
That is my experience with them, I was more of an Abbott and Costello guy.

  Here is an offering:

 A Bra.

 How tawdry.

 A tie.

(I hate women.)

"How do you like my tie?"

"How do you like it?"

"My God! The tie!"
