Are we alone in this Universe? The Arizona Desert is about to explode with this production!

Los Angeles based Archstone Distribution has snatched up world-wide distribution rights for Michael Z. Gordon’s screenplay of the apocalyptic action packed film ‘Biosphere’.

Biosphere goes into production in the Arizona Desert with the highly acclaimed producer of ‘Narc’, Michael Gordon, producing and My Own Worst Enemy Productions funding the $20 million dollar film that now takes on a top secret government organization.
The planet is on the brink of disintegration with earthquakes, wild fires, tsunamis and global storms ravaging the Earth. Millions of people are perishing and time is running out for three young scientists who have been assigned by the Government to save their planet. But is the Government concealing more than they are willing to divulge to the world?

Executive Producers, Igor and Luisa Dymkov’s New Visions Cinema along with Americana Films will bring this ‘pursuit of the truth’ Sci-Fi production to cinema audiences around the world. Terence Stamp, with his starring role in ‘The Haunted Mansion’, Morgan Freeman, and the beautiful Winona Ryder are just a few of the stars that are expected to take on leading roles in this compelling science-fiction thriller.

The harsh Arizona desert is the perfect location shoot for Michael Z. Gordon’s ‘world in turmoil’ production ‘Biosphere’. Who knows, the cast and crew may even come face to face with Johnny Depp’s ‘Rango’.

The poster looks like its for some SyFy C-movie..... Shocked

And the story sounds like it would be fitting for Kari Wuhrer (Arrac Attack) or Nicole deBoer (Star Trek DS9)... Wink

Edit: This sounds like a premature April 1st joke!

I generally don't like this "World's comming to an end"-SciFi. Mostly because as the world itself can never come to an end - lifeforms might be killed by a catastrophe, but the earth and the solar system and the universe will still be there.

For me SciFi had to be...

A) something critical like Ray Bradbury or Phillip K. Dick.
B) some space opera even if it lacks story - with many aliens and starships
C) at best a combination of A+B - like Star Trek, Rama trilogy (Clarke), Foundation series (Asimov)

Hmmm...I'll keep an open mind. I LOVE good sci fi, but the bad stuff makes me want to scream *L* ...and if Winona is going to be in it I hope it's better than The Dilemma, which I found utterly pointless  yawn even though she did look good in it  laugh
