Newly the board allows you to post directly (via [ img ] tag) only images whose longest dimension does not exceed 800 pixels.

Here are 2 possibilities you might consider while posting images:

1) Use image sharing service - recommended
here are some services you can use:
- imageshack.us
- imagevenue.com
- tinypic.com
... and many others.

Simply upload the pic to the site, and then post here only thumbnail with link to the (page with) image.
Many of the hosting services provide right-away code that can be used for this forum.

2) Resize the image yourself
I'd recommend using IrfanView; once you open the image, press Ctrl+R, type in dimensions you want to resize the image to (800 for longer dimension at most!), click OK, press Ctrl+S and save the file (make sure to save as JPEG, recommended quality 80-90), or save the file under different name to keep the original intact

IrfanView also contains powerful batch processing tool, various possibilities of conversion, etc. Just explore!

You can also use IrfanView while using attachments, to shrink the files.

Of course, you're free to combine both methods - you can resize before posting the file on image sharing service.

Edit: and the latest option - if you're willing to post some older picture, feel free to post link to the WFZR Winona Ryder Gallery!

How to link to the WFZR Winona Ryder Gallery?

You have several options:

1) Just a link to the gallery page - I guess this is obvious, how to do...

2) Thumbnail with a link to the gallery page

i) Once you located the image you wanna link to, right-click the mouse on the thumbnail. In Firefox, select "Copy Link Location" (or its equivalent in your language); in IE select "Copy Shortcut".

ii) In the post on the board, press the button, and in the dialog that comes out, paste the address from clipboard; as a "name for your link" enter anything - e.g. "b".
You'll get, for example:
Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=73]b[/url]

iii) Back to gallery, right-click the thumbnail again, and select in Firefox "Copy image location", or in IE select "Properties" and copy the "Address" from the dialog that comes out.

iv) Back in the post editor on the board, delete the "b" that you typed as a name for the link, press the button, and paste in the link of the image.
You'll now have, for example:
Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=73] [img]http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/thumb_noni-mag0074.jpg[/img][/url]

3) Medium size image with a link to the gallery page - very similar to the previous:

i) Once you located the image you wanna link to, click on the address bar of your browser, and copy the address of the page where you are (I presume, you opened the page with the medium size image, that you wanna post, in the gallery).

ii) In the post on the board, press the button, and in the dialog that comes out, paste the address from clipboard; as a "name for your link" enter anything - e.g. "b".
You'll get, for example:
Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=73]b[/url]

iii) Back to gallery, right-click the medium size image, and select in Firefox "Copy image location", or in IE select "Properties" and copy the "Address" from the dialog that comes out.

iv) Back in the post editor on the board, delete the "b" that you typed as a name for the link, press the button, and paste in the link of the image.
You'll now have, for example:
Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=73] [img]http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/normal_noni-mag0074.jpg[/img][/url]

4) Full sized image (be sure the image is at most 800px in the longest dimension!)

i) Once you open the full size image, right-click the image, and select in Firefox "Copy image location", or in IE select "Properties" and copy the "Address" from the dialog that comes out.

ii) Now use the link, that you have now in the clipboard, on the board - press the button, and paste in the link of the image.
You'll now have, for example:
Code:
[img]http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/noni-mag0074.jpg[/img]

Note: You can also use the address of the full size version instead of the gallery page address - simply combine 2) or 3) with the 4):

Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/noni-mag0074.jpg] [img]http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/thumb_noni-mag0074.jpg[/img][/url]

Code:
[url=http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/noni-mag0074.jpg] [img]http://www.wfzr.net/wrgallery/albums/Magazine/normal_noni-mag0074.jpg[/img][/url]

Also, we have lots of space for attachments, so you can use the attachments feature and it will create a small thumbnail automatically. To use attachments click where it says "Additional Options..." and then click the browse button to find the file's location on your computer. Then make your post.

OK - we've received our first complaint about linking pictures from other sites. Please don't do this - we've given you plenty of options to avoid doing this.
