Hey guys,
Eagle Rare is the name of my favorite sipping bourbon, I do like to sip,but you can call me Rob. I am from Podunk Falls, U.S.A. and in Podunk Falls, U.S.A., the idea of art and culture is to show a thirty year old Italian movie every three months at the official Podunk Falls, U.S.A. art and culture coffee house. I like espresso and Fellini as much as the next guy, but I am grateful and appreciative of web sites such as this one which keeps me abreast of the films I don't read about in The Podunk Falls Tribune. Without you guys I probably never would have seen The Ten,well,maybe that's not the best example,(I don't hold a grudge.), but you know what I mean.
I am thankful for the work you do.
Quick question, what is a "Karma " ? I get the general idea, but is it something which is meted by software, moderators,or the common member?
I just want to be all that I can be.

Welcome.  Karma is just some weird feature of this board. If you post something someone likes or dislikes (or for whatever reason) anyone can click yay or nay. It just seems like a popularity thing I guess. I serves no real function. But I guess if a user is a real jackass, they'd be in the negative numbers pretty quick and I guess that would let others know what everyone else thinks about that person. |

Was a member at the old Soap but membership did not carry over to wfrz. Was initially considered a troll at the old site because of a post I made  , but I do still follow Winona's career. How could I not? Loved her in Beetlejuice.
Just signed up today to say that Friday's People mag cover has a small picture of Winona, captioned "Winona Ryder: Her Life Now."

Hey guys, I did a google search for The soap.com/munity, ended up here. Nice to see AGCN has evolved instead of dissolved. You guys may remember me as 'Sephiroth' or 'Seph'. Anywhoo....thought i'd make an appearance, share a thought or two. Sometimes i find myself writing letters to people I don't know with no intention of sending them, of course. But I have the overwhelming and dire urge to express public admiration for this woman. I wouldn't consider myself an expert on her life, but it seems to parallel mine in every form that I am aware of. That our look is similar says one thing, and though it sounds incredibly shallow, she has helped me profoundly in the search for self-love. Her suffering is beautiful. Her relationships, like my own, display struggle with impulse overriding will. At least in my imagination, we share this harrowing characteristic, and when I am lonely, I think of how lovely I am. It is one of the only things that keeps me going when I want to destroy everything in my path, one of the only things that allows me not to be hard on myself. To feel tenderly toward myself took a lot before this weird Winona binge. Like myself, mistake after mistake, she manages triumph and grace. Sure, I could be completely off-base, or even just have her confused with the character she plays in Girl Interrupted; All this is so incredibly presumptuous, regardless, she resides forever in my heart.

Hello everyone.
I joined because I'm of the opinion that Winona Ryder is among the most beautiful actresses of all time, and I want to join the forum to support her come back. I'm happy to here she's got a role in the next Darron Arvnosky film. He's a wonderful director, and she deserves to work with that level of talent on a consistent basis.
