Highest Prison Population In The World

I searched and surprisingly there's no mention of this movie on this site, as far as I can tell. Unless the search function is faulty.

Well I finally got around to watching this today and I wasn't expecting much especially since "Stay Cool" was so unbelievably horrible. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't all that bad. I got a laugh or two out of it and it was probably my favorite Winona performance since "Girl Interrupted." She was a pleasure in this movie and I especially enjoyed her laugh and foul mouth. Wink And she looks amazing in it.   The movie itself was passable, not great but not horrible. After "Stay Cool" I'm so glad I didn't hate it - that movie made me feel nauseated.

Yeah, I hated this film when I first saw it! The only things I liked is how Winona looked, Lawrence Ferlinghetti's comeo and the mention and playing of Wilco. However, now I actually rather enjoy it. I am also a fan of Winona's dirty mouth. happy yes That's the kind of chracter I was hoping she'd be playing in "The Dilemma."

Still too afraid to watch "Stay Cool."  Though, from the photos I've seen, she does look very nice!

Like I said TDA is not very good, but it's watchable and worth it for a Winona fan. Stay Cool is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

"Darwin" wasn't the biggest dog she made in the post-trial lull.  There were some laughs and Winona with sailor mouth is fun to watch.  Lucas Haas made an appearance which was entertaining.  I place it in the middle of the pack of WR 2002-10 movies.
The one I enjoyed the most was "The Last Word" (talk about looking great!!) and "Pippa Lee" was OK.
"The Ten" and "The Informers" were awful.
I haven't had the pleasure of "Stay Cool" yet.

I agree that Stay Cool isn't very good but wasn't nauseating for me - and you can always turn down the volume and marvel Winona's look, IMHO she looked best in this since GI or Autumn.

On Darwin Awards: I liked Winona's dirty talk also - she also has a quite dirty laugh if she wants to, like in Autumn In New York when she's laughing at Will at the ice rink. As with all episodic movies some episodes are better then others - liked the Metallica one best.

On The Ten: Same here about episodic movies. Winona is hilarious in You Shall Not Steal even if it might not be everyones taste. Some critics also noted that Winona was the best thing about this movie and the other episodes were drab in comparison. But the same said Variety about Stay Cool - I think the term was "most valued person".

On Pippa Lee: I liked Winona's part very much - should've given her more screentime

Last Word: Good movie with a very good Winona - but the Evan guy is to cloose to me when it comes to women so I feel quite uncomfortable watching it.

Informers: The only movie with Winona I haven't seen. At Stay Cool you can at last marvel Winona's stunning beauty at length - but Informers is not only not good but also has very little screentime.

Also watched When Love Is Not Enough again - rounding up an quite OK year for Winona IMO.

Winona in DARWIN AWARDS was very entertaining. I liked her feisty dirty mouth character. My favorite line though was---"You don't deserve WILCO".

STAY COOL was kind of out of character to me although I did enjoy her being on screen a lot.  TWIN FALLS IDAHO(also by The Polish Bros) was great and sometimes I imagine Winona playing the Michelle Hicks character when I watch that movie. Michelle Hicks is one beautiful woman too. Her looks are sort of in the same vein as Winona's. Dark penetrating eyes, dewy white skin, and all. All in all, STAY COOL wasn't all that bad. Just please don't make any more Mr. Deeds type movies.

THE TEN was okay. I've actually made my own edit of her segment, using some scenes from the alternate version from the DVD Extras. The dialogue from the confrontation scene was much funnier because it wasn't drowned by the music. I wish I can post it here but I'm afraid it might violate some policies.

She definitely needed more screentime for PIPPA LEE, although she was wonderfullly neurotic especially the last scene she's in.

THE LAST WORD, surprisingly enough, was oddly oddly entertaining. And damn she looked so hawt in this one.

THE INFORMERS was a crap fest. I also made my own 10-11  minute version of it, focusing more on the love triangle of Cheryl, William, and Laura. It turned out more tolerable, although I doubt Winona had a good time filming this. I don't imagine anybody enjoying Billy Bob Thronton's company. Do yourself a favor and just read the book, if you like Bret Easton Ellis.

WHEN LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH was a curious choice. I was out and about that day when it was televised(I had my Mom record it. LOL) and passed by some bars and  there was a lot of people at the bars that day.I believe it was a Sunday(people like to drink before the week starts apparently). I remember thinking---How ironic that there's a Hallmark movie on TV about Al-ANon and there's so many people at the bars right now. LOL.

Can't wait to see BLACK SWAN, if only for her very brief appearance, but I think this movie is gonna be great. It's a dream come true to see Winona and Natalie together. Remake of "LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN", anyone?

I have a feeling THE DILEMMA is more for Kevin James, Vince Vaughn fans---- but at least--- as vulcannonibird puts it---"marvel at Winona's stunning beauty at length..." and at least we get to see Jennifer Connely and Winona in a movie together. Heathers 2, anyone?
