I am not an artist so I won't comment on the technical.

She looks tired.
Beaten.
Her hands clenched in prayer but her eyes all knowing.
Resolute.

No way out.

I don't get it.
I don't get the choice.
I don't get the water bottle.

Her hands remind me of "The Potato Eaters"

It's in the eye,I guess.
She looks terrible.

Sorry you feel that way.

I suppose I didn't count on everyone being so sensitive with the choice.
I think that's where the criticism must duly lie as the artist did a magnificent job with catching her likeness.

As you say, it's in the eye, and I think she looks great.  rock

He is a fine artist.

It is good work.

I should have kept quiet.

Enjoy!

All opinions are welcome, Eagle.

There's no denying that my choice was a strange one. If you're such a big fan of Noni, why do you get a painting of her during her darkest hour? Why not pick a picture where she's glowing and looking as beautiful as you could possibly imagine? I definitely understand what people are saying. I can only say that there's something terribly compelling about her that day in the courtroom. She looked far, far from being terrible, and I like the picture because it's completely real. She isn't posing, putting on a big smile or anything like that, she's at her most vulnerable. I think it's a beautiful painting...but I can see why others might criticize the choice.

I like the final outcome better than my initial impression was.  Although her hair looks a bit out of sorts.
