There's no denying that my choice was a strange one. If you're such a big fan of Noni, why do you get a painting of her during her darkest hour? Why not pick a picture where she's glowing and looking as beautiful as you could possibly imagine? I definitely understand what people are saying. I can only say that there's something terribly compelling about her that day in the courtroom. She looked far, far from being terrible, and I like the picture because it's completely real. She isn't posing, putting on a big smile or anything like that, she's at her most vulnerable. I think it's a beautiful painting...but I can see why others might criticize the choice.
