Seth MacFarlane hosts an Evening Affair, starring Rumer Willis and her new beau from 'Glee'http://latimesblogs.latim...ir-rumer-willis-glee.htmlHow can you say no to a Beverly Hills bash thrown by $100-million-dollar man Seth MacFarlane? You can't, and neither could the luminaries who attended his Evening Affair over the weekend, presented by Night Vision Entertainment. Kate Walsh, Bill Maher, Winona Ryder, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Molly Ringwald, Rashida Jones, Jeremy Piven, Chris Tucker, Stephen Dorff and David Arquette were among the partiers who came to catch MacFarlane on Saturday in his performing glory, with the help of a full orchestra. Buzz around the bash was all about celeb-spawn Rumer Willis, who showed up with new "Glee" guy Chord Overstreet on her arm. Recently split from actor Micah Alberti, Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, wasn't shy at all about showing her affections for Overstreet. "They held hands and shared kisses all night," an onlooker tells The Ministry. After tearing up the dance floor, Walsh slipped off her high heels and chatted with Rose McGowan, while Ringwald bonded over Camacho cigars with Cuba Gooding Jr. Mark Salling, also of "Glee," took in an acrobatic performance with Emmy winner Aaron Paul, sipping Svedka cocktails and lingering into the wee hours of Sunday. What do you think of Rumer and her new man? Tell us in the comments section below. -- Matt Donnelly Twitter.com/MattDonnelly

Winona Ryder In Los Angeles, Estate of the Day Print this page| by Deidre Woollard (RSS feed) Oct 22nd 2010 at 1:01PM http://www.luxist.com/201...ngeles-estate-of-the-day/Winona Ryder is moving on. The Real Estalker broke the news today that Ryder has listed her longtime home in Los Angeles. Ryder bought the 1936 Spanish-style home in 1998 for $2.6 million. According to Movieland Directory this home was also previously owned by model Angie Everhart and Elton John's songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. This classic Los Angeles home has four bedrooms. While the home has clearly been staged for sale, we can get a good look at the bones of this property. Many of the original details are in place. Like the Real Estalker, I rather enjoy the vintage charm of the pink and blue tiled master bathroom. The home opens into a wide entry hall with a curving tiled staircase that has stained glass windows and large dark murals that appear to feature the Garden of Eden. The home has a long formal living room with French doors that open to the backyard area and a corner fireplace with a carved wood mantel. There is also a dining room, and small tucked away pub room with a built in wet bar. The kitchen has exposed antique brick walls, white cabinetry and wide doors opening out to the yard. The home and garage surround a bricked-in courtyard with an outdoor fireplace and leading to a kidney-shaped pool. This home is listed with Westside Estate Agency for $4.095 million. The property website is here.

Winona Ryder thought she was going to be “great friends” with Angelina Jolie.
The 39-year-old was an executive producer of the hit movie Girl, Interrupted, which was based on writer Susanna Kaysen's description of her 18-month stay at a mental hospital during the 1960s.
Angelina starred in the film, and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Lisa Rowe, launching her career and confirming her status as one of Hollywood’s most talented women.
Winona has revealed she was adamant she wanted to cast Angelina, as she saw her incredible talent early on and was attracted to the star’s aura, thinking they would connect well on a personal level.
“She was the only person that I had in mind and obviously she was amazing, she won an Academy Award. I remember thinking, ‘Oh, we’re going to turn out being great friends,’” Winona told Total Film.
As well as producing the movie, Winona also starred in it – portraying Susanna Kaysen. For that reason, Winona thinks the actresses didn’t bond as well as they could have, because they got so involved in the film and remained in character. Winona still has an immense respect for Angelina though, and felt upset by reports of a rivalry between the pair.
“But I think she needed to be able to look at me as just Susanna, not as Winona, so in a very respectful way she just kind of kept her distance,” she explained.
“It was a little bit upsetting that the press and the reviews pitted her against me because I was thrilled for her, and I had a feeling she would win an award.”

Winona Ryder needs a man – because she can’t work her television.http://www.musicrooms.net...er-looking-for-a-man.htmlThe ‘Black Swan’ beauty – who has dated a string of Hollywood actors including Johnny Depp and Matt Damon – is suspicious of modern technology and admits she is in need of someone to teach her how to get to grips with the gadgets in her home.
She said: “I got this TV installed. It was HD something? It looked like a bad videotape, and I had to take it off. All this stuff and I'm pretty bad with that stuff. I gotta bring in some boys!"
While she needs a man to assist with her television, Winona could also use someone to educate her on the internet as she doesn’t even own a computer, though she insists she is happy to keep away from the worldwide web as she thinks it is damaging to Hollywood.
She told the USA Today newspaper: "I don't have a computer. I don't go on the internet. I keep hearing that you can find out anything, which is kind of too bad. Now everyone knows the salaries and the budgets and the troubles. It does take the mystery out.”
Winona also spoke about her new role in Darren Aronofsky's ballet thriller ‘Black Swan’, admitting she could see parallels in the movie to her own life as her career stalled as she got older.
She explained: "I had this great run when I was a teen and in my 20s and then things got harder. That's why I kind of love the parallel in ‘Black Swan’. It's absurd that these girls have to retire so young. I think Darren saw the parallel. I just turned 39 the other day. And it's like wow, in a year I'll be 40."

Ryder felt pain through Age of Innocence corsethttp://www.kjrh.com/dpp/e...Innocence-corset_60087146WINONA RYDER has credited her tight corsets with fuelling her performance in THE AGE OF INNOCENCE by allowing her to channel her character's emotional turmoil. The actress insists her restrictive costume allowed her to give an authentic performance as a socialite engaged to a lawyer, played by Daniel Day-Lewis, in the 1993 period drama. And despite feeling uncomfortable throughout the entire shoot, Ryder admits she is grateful for the painful garments. She tells Britain's Total Film magazine, "The corsets are a tremendous help to the performance, because you're playing a repressed person and you can feel the pain that they endured. My waist had to be 19 inches and they had to measure me every day. I would be on the floor and they would pull the strings until it was 19 inches. "Daniel would wear his clothes home, he was very in character and I was like, 'You have no idea the pain I'm in right now!' But if I did it again I would want it the same way because it made my performance."

I was watching this show on the E! network last Friday concerning celebrity fashions (Joan Rivers is one of the hosts). Well, Winona got named the worst dressed based on pictures from some premiere or something. Before that, she had already been criticized on the same dress when she was compared to some model who also wore the same outfit. I love Winona, but I have to admit the dress really was a bad fit; what I disagreed with was how far their mean comments went. Joan Rivers said something to the effect of, "Who wore it better, the tall, thin, young supermodel or [making a "yuck" face] Winona Ryder?" First of all, I don't think Winona can or should get any thinner than she already is (she's a petite woman, for God's sake); second, the "young" comment was truly unnecessary. Winona is only 39, and besides, you can't get anymore youthful looking than her! It amazes me how someone who looks like Joan Rivers has always felt she has the right to bash others based on how they look. Winona is lovely, and okay, lately she's made a couple of bad fashion choices (which is a pity, because this is, after all, her comeback, her time to shine), but everyone makes mistakes.

Ugh, Joan Rivers is obnoxious. I think Winona looks great. She does seem to wear dresses that are all cut the same lately: straps over the shoulders with a seam that sits above the waist. Her arms look a bit bigger, but overall, I think she looks really good. Who cares what she wears. The "yuck" face is definitely unnecessary, especially coming from Joan Plastic Rivers.

"You guys, I just thought of something. I'm manager of the Gap. I'm responsible for all those t-shirts... French-cut, v-necked, ribbed, what have you. Dude, I'm in trouble."
