i guess few people are interested in soccer so let's talk about it ...our favorite teams ...our hopes... etc personaly i never really supported my national team (French team) but The US national team ...as im at home for all a week ,i could see every games sinces last friday .... and i have admired the way to play of many ,many teams :Portugal ,USA ,Japan ,South Korea ,Argentina ,Cameroon,Mexico... more than how many goals they could put ,i mostly admired the generosity & courage .... for Brazil ,Argentina,Portugal,Italy,England..honestly they're big teams and they couldn't do less but some others really surprised me like Japan and most of all the US Team.... from the 1st minute to the very last ,they keep an amazing rythm & this incredible & admirable (correct in english? ) will to win... who's interested in soccer among members..? someone from the USA...from Europe..? from Mexico (Hi Mywinona ) ...

I'm trying to appreciate it, but find it far too frustrating.

 that's strange 'cause that's the most exciting sport to me...even Laurent who really doesn't care about soccer watches the World cup with me... we encourage the same teams : USA & Japan... i dream of a final game with USA vs Japan .... you should see us ..yelling ,jumping on our seats (even if i shouldn't...you know why ) ,applauding .... putting flags on balconies ( neighbours have Portugal - Italian or Brazilian flags !!) i think that's just similar to American people watching Football or Base ball ... maybe it's just because we play football (you call it soccer) since we're young...

I think it is. But there's not enough scoring for me. That's the frustrating part. It's like it's too difficult for them. btw - I watched about half of spain/chile today but it couldn't hold my interest.

Actually I would want to interest this topic more, but when Turkey couldn't attend I lost all my interest. I love soccer. We live with soccer or the exact name that we called 'football' here, you can't imagine that. But now I support Mexico, Spain and South Korea. I don't know why. There is no specific reason. I just love their game.

So, Mexico is out of the World Cup, as well as France & USA & many others. Mexico lose against Argentina yesterday, being as much objective as I can be, it was a pretty close match, first goal it's clearly offside, I didn't see Argentina taking control of the game as Maradonna said, but they got Tevez, Messi & Higuain, players that can change the course of a game in one second, and that's the diference between a team who can play good, and team who can won a world cup. I don't have a favorite now, maybe Holland, or Brazil, when Brazil plays like Brazil, you gotta go crazy for them, they are actually playing against Chile in about an hour.

 USA out ! Japan out ! Mexico out ! Brazil out! .... i wonder if Argentina will succeed the next game... if the 'big' teams will win or not.... to Oinone .... here we also say Football... and it's like we're into it since we're very young... 4 of my 5 cousins plaied or still play football...one was even almost entered the Cannes center of formation ( like Z.Zidane ) but he prefered to study ( he's now doctor in international policy specialized in chinese policy...i don't really get what e does with that..diplomacy or kinda consulting..weird ... )... anyway....football or soccer is just something you like/love or not... sometimes you don't even need to be for a team or another...just the pleasure of the game...when the game is good.... Holland-Brazil was a good game... i was for neither one neither the other... but i enjoyed the game... i wish more americans could enjoy it ...

i wonder if Argentina will succeed the next game no... As the proverb goes: Soccer is when you play ninety minutes and Germany wins in the end. Well, at least this year its true. GER-ENG 4-1. GER-ARG 4-0. Spain comming up next - and what I've seen so far from them they're no threat for Germany if they didn't play much better and Germany stays focused. So we have 3 european and 1 south american team for the half-finals: Germany-Spain - Netherlands-Uruguay. I hope for Germany-Netherlands for the final - that is a classic.

It will obviously. I support Spain but Germany is very tough. Well I hope we'll watch a very good semifinal (;
