1. Letterman, have been a fan since his morning show.
   I wish Oprah was still interveiwing one-limbed jugglers and the rapists who love them.

I had forgotten about  Klein,it has been years since I have seen him do anything. I loved his stand-up. Yeah,I would like to see him on the Tonight Show. Harper Lee would be great,as well.

Yeah, but she's such a recluse. So, I'd spend that segment playing stump the band like Carson, or some silly man-in-the-street interview like Steve Allen.

I do too... I'm not always sure about Jay Leno's politics; he seems closer on that score to Dennis Miller than Marc Maron. yawn

Steve Allen was one of the smartest people on television.

I miss Dick Cavett. I can watch his interviews with Groucho, Olivier, Hepburn, Hitchcock, John and Yoko,Woody Allen, etc., until the end of time. That man knows something about conversation, and that is saying a lot, especially nowadays.

I would have him on my show just so I could speak with him.

A favorite quote of his;

Q.  What makes New York so crummy these days?

A.  Tourists.
