Almost all of the article is taken up by how women should look like and until the very end it is said that "the ideal man resembles Richard Gere" and that's it. Funny thing is, in Autumn in New York, Winona and Gere had no chemistry whatsoever.
And as for the line, "...the ideal woman resembles Winona Ryder." they are mistaken. The line should be, "...the ideal woman is Winona Ryder."
That's funny you pointed that out... it's definitely a trend in our society. I know I'd personally love to look like her, although I'd rather not care either way.
I didn't think Gere and Winona's chemistry was anything special, but it might just be because I don't like him all that much as an actor. And he completely ruins one of their "passionate" kissing scenes when he sticks out his tongue in the middle of it (and I don't mean in a sexy way, either)

. It just made it seem as if he couldn't keep up with her skills

lol
And I would have to agree with your last quote! While I think Winona is one of most gorgeous women in film, I also think her personality and interests say so much about her that look-a-likes are really just... look-a-likes, and can't compare to the real Winona. She is one of a kind!
