Winona will play Beth - Nina's (Portman's role) friend. Beth is at the end of her ballet dancing career and Nina and Lilly (Kunis) will compete for the lead of a new production directed by weird Yevna (Cassel).

I can imagine some photography like Lost Souls - but hopefully the script will be far superior. Produced by Fox Searchlight.

And I quite fear with putting Winona and Natalie together they could have the same problem as with Winona and Sadie Frost ins dracula: quite same figure. Hope Winona won't end up with long red hair...

P.S.: Filming is scheduled to begin now (November).

When I see 'Black Swan' I got excited because I know that project and I was already very curious about that!

Well, I'm a fan of Darren Aronofsky and it's a very very great moment to me even it's a small role.

YES!! Finally a good cast and director!!!! Winona, Portman and Aronofsky!!!! It's so weird too because I knew of this film for a while and kept thinking how it would be awesome for Winona to be in it! Though, I really can't say why I wanted her to be in this, I'm happy she is! So, this is the first time I ever hoped she'd be cast in a film and actually was!! Now, I just hope her role is something bigger than a supporting role.

It probably is just a supporting role since Portman and Kunis play the main characters. Oh and they have sex.

Some "insider" on IMDB speculated based on an older script version that Winona will have about 20 to 30 minutes screentime....

Here is that older script if anyone wants to read it. One of the articles I read yesterday said that the script was recently re-written, so hopefully Winona's role will be a little longer than 20- 30 mins... though, I'm happy for anything, really.

I want to remind this; Eller Burstyn and Marisa Tomei who are playing supporting role in his films, got an academy award nominee. I think it could be a chance for her, too.whoo!
