Lelaina: Can you define "irony"? Troy Dyer: It's when the actual meaning is the complete opposite from the literal meaning.

“Well, I can’t listen to Wagner because he hated Jews. I can’t read Émile Zola—I mean, I love Émile Zola, but he had some scandals that were kind of scary—and I worship Woody Allen, but he had his thing, too. I struggle with the age-old question of how to separate the art from the artist.” I wonder if she loves "Love And Death"

“I was out at a bar with a friend who said, ‘Do you realize that in America you’re never going to be able to meet a guy who knows nothing about you? Everyone will have preconceived ideas about who you are.’ I got so bummed out. I’d never really thought about it that way.” that's a bad thing. “What I found so interesting,” says Ryder, “was that if you did something sort of normal-crazy, like taking a bottle of aspirin, you were locked up for years. Now, they won’t hold you if you say you’re schizophrenic and you’re going to kill yourself or someone else. You can thank Reagan for that one.” hahaha I love her for that one I like this pic: http://www.blackbookmag.c...loads/winona-ryder-12.jpg

I never thought of her armpit when I lokked at that photo. But I would smell her. I have no idea who she is but I think it is possible for her to find a decent guy willing to find the answer. But it wouldn't be in a bar. Is it ever? Her freind's statement is dramatic. Everyone loves "Love and Death", it is one of Woody's funniest movies. Reagan opened the gate, the 80's sucked,no doubt.

She's so famous, that I'd bet that 99.99% of men in the USA, in here age range, know who she is. She's have to meet someone with no exposure to pop culture at all. Maybe an Amish guy.

I am three generations removed Amish, but I guess I have been among the English for too long.
I have heard of her.
But I don't have a preconceived notion of who she is other than what I see on the surface. Interviews are directed to specific audiences, certain questions are asked and the responses edited to suit that audience. It's all entertainment and business, meetings are held, and I don't take it very seriously. Show us the whole interview without edit and spin and then maybe I would believe that I know something about her. I don't think that an interview or biography represents the real her anymore than an airbrushed photograph shows us who she really is. It's all for our amusement and their industry.

I like this pic: Me too. Winona would look even more cool, if she had an electric guitar.
