I'm doing a project on Winona Ryder for my film studies coursework, and would like to ask fans of Winona or film buffs a few questions about her and her work, I would be very grateful for someone to take their time to reply to this thread. I am studying her as a star, and am looking for themes of feminism, depression, oppression, teen angst and repression in her films. I am specifically looking at the films: “Girl, Interrupted”, “Beetlejuice” and “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”.
So to start off with:
1)   Do you feel that Winona chooses certain roles, and if you do, do you think you know why she goes for them roles?
2)   What roles would you say are feminist roles and incorporate feminist views in a Winona Ryder movie?
3)   What would make someone define Winona Ryder as a star, using Richard Dyer’s star theory?
4)   Why do you think that Winona Ryder chooses roles where her character writes for fun, or for a job?

Thank you for your time  Smiley
