I asked myself the same question. Couldn't find out for what exactly the award is. I saw pics with Christina Ricci getting the same award. Maybe it's about the "smaller" film festivals getting major stars by simply giving them an award - I saw last year a piece about it on TV showing Clint Eastwood getting an Award at the rather "small" Anaheim Film Festival in the US. But mainly I think Winona got there as honory juror for the junior competition - note all the young folks in the jury. It's so good to see Winona still young at heart....  I also like the note about the guy with her taking pictures - maybe there's a book in the making....  |
