 Part 1

This one is my favorite. Except for 'Gentle Creatures,' which seems to be missing. I sent Hervé just a few lines, the brief dialogue, a basic 4 panel idea...and look at his immense talent. Notice I'm carrying the book and Hervé has the revolver.  laugh
Magnificent artist.
And this particular 'beloved' will last an eternity.

It didn't take a genius. I just slapped 2 of her movie titles together one day whilst driving.  laugh  The main inspiration though came from a Gary Larson "The Far Side" cartoon where The Lone Ranger is retired at home reading a book, startled to find out what 'kemosabe' REALLY means after all those years with Tonto.

There's so much that I love here. How adorable Hervé made her with the monocle in the first panel, Coppola's reflection(you mean, HE's not Dracula!?  laugh ), and the entire payoff panel.

Smoky atmosphere and a moody setting.
Just wanted to show she (is)was capable of doing anything.
And I told Hervé I wanted her hair messed up just a bit in the last panel.

I'm pretty sure this was the first one we did.
I just thought she was innocent.

I don't remember that one. I don't think AGCN ever had it.

These comics are uniquely entertaining. The comic below is my choice for the best on this page. Obviously, it expressed true feelings about Noni; how she may have felt, I mean. Are there any more Phil? And will there be any more created here in 2010?

Mostly just wanted a cozy mood for the 5th anniversary tribute.
Asked Hervé to include the ponytail, the open robe, the locket, and scripts (from what turned out to be mostly rumored movies.)
The detailed painting he included over the fire is amazing.
And wasn't the book of my fiction at her feet a sweet touch?

Nice.

Thanks, sadly no.
Like Martin and Lewis, Abbott and Costello, Elvis and Costello, Lennon and Marx(Groucho), we made a great team but finally went our separate ways.
