I don't want to be a bitch or anything like "what a pain in the ass is this girl", but... could I ask you guys for not direct link pictures from my webspace? It coasts money and the site can be offline... I have some rules in this server, and I could put a "no direct link" in my cpanel, but this sometimes prejudice our visitors (with that stupid 403 warning) so I choose do not do this. But I count with people not direct linking images from my gallery in boards or something. I can deal with people taking pictures without giving a linking back warning (like "hey, I found this picture in this website", etc...) but a direct link can make my website goes offline. And I cannot deal with it. There's a lot of address - FREE - where you can upload pictures to post into boards, like http://imageshack.ushttp://imagevenue.comhttp://photobucket.comAnd as Google is your friend, do a search like "upload images" and you got a lot of resources: http://www.google.com.br/...cial&client=firefox-aI'm sorry. As I told you, I don't want to be a pain in the ass. But it's a simple thing I'm asking you. If you find a cool picture anywhere (not just in my website, any website online), save the picture in your own computer, then type http://imageshack.us, upload the pic in their webspace, so copy the url they'll give you and paste in the forum. You'll waste 2 minutes, but you can save the bandwidth and can mantain the site online. Thanks. |

I agree with people not linking to your site, but just curious - why aren't you using hotlinking protection? OK I see I missed the explanation. I guess people need to stop doing this or I'm going to get yelled at some more and probably blocked AGAIN  ok people please stop linking to other sites with picturesbtw - attachments can be uploaded here... |
