im so sad for what i've seen on tv news this morning...  Cry
L'AQUILA in Italy (90km from Roma )
A powerful earthquake in mountainous central Italy knocked down whole blocks of buildings early Monday as residents slept, killing more than 90 people in the country's deadliest quake in nearly three decades. Tens of thousands were homeless and 1,500 were injured.

oh i'm so sorry, too! ))= i hope she's fine. i'm still remembering Istanbul earthquake in 1999 and it's terrifies me..

I wrote her e-mail couple days ago checking if she is ok...she didn't reply yet.
I hope all her family and friends are fine.

This is tragedy, and I never understand why these kinds of stuff have to happen.  Sad

The surprising thing is that many of the buildings that collapsed were fairly new, and the quake wasn't all that strong. A lot of the old buildings didn't do too badly. A few years ago there was a similar sized quake in Central California which only killed two people, so casualties can be avoided if the buildings strong enough.

This is very tragic for Italy.
