Some of them is new to me even are nonsense. I just want to share.
http://www.celebritywonde.../winonaryder_trivia1.html

Some more:
(Seriously?)--> Nominated for Best Kiss at MTV Movie Awards for HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT (1996) - shared with Dermot Mulroney

(This makes more sense)--> Nominated for Best Kiss at MTV Movie Awards for REALITY BITES (1994) - shared with Ethan Hawke

Most of her early childhood was spent in Petaluma,Sonoma county. The family spent some time in Columbia with Chilean revolutionaries in the mid-70s.

(Whatttt? She wasn't first choice?)--> Replaced Emily Lloyd in MERMAIDS (1990) because it was thought that Lloyd looked too genetically dissimilar to 'Cher'.

(Didn't know they dated)--> Had one date with Old 97's frontman Rhett Miller, who wrote the song Rollerskate Skinny about her.

(I think I forgot about this)--> Auditioned for the Marla Singer role in FIGHT CLUB (1999), which eventually went to Helena Bonham Carter.

First auditioned for the role of Blanca in THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS (1993) when she was sixteen, but the part went to Pernilla August. The film took years to get made, and when it finally did, August had to drop out at the last minute due to pregnancy, and Winona replaced her.

The role of Nola in CELEBRITY (1998) was actually written for Drew Barrymore. [1997]

I'm strange, crazy, intelligent, wild, soft, coy, thrifty, boring, romantic, selfish, full of pride, mean, dark, sweet and most of all I'm through with this interview.

"Rollerskate Skinny" is a cool song, and it does make sense that he wrote it for her.

She wasn't "addicted" to vitamin pills - just liked them as sweets. Thats from one of her earliest interviews from Lucas or 1969 era.

Yeah and here is a interview of Miller about this song. Actually I don't like that song too much /=

Quote
Miller – The Old 97s frontman was interviewed by Sarah Hepola of Nerve.com and answered as follows:

I heard you wrote [Satellite Rides'] “Rollerskate Skinny” about Winona Ryder.
Yeah, we were both living in L.A., and she was sort of calling me every five minutes and talking about the end of her two-year relationship with, I guess it turns out, Matt Damon. I had just broken up with my girlfriend, and you could feel Winona kind of moving in for the kill. I wrote the song to mean, like, “Are you seriously complaining about your life? Come on.” She came to see me at Largo [a popular L.A. lounge], and I played the song, and that made her even more interested, I guess. She invited me back to her place. And guess who turned her down?

I'd much rather know what she smells like.

Somewheres between the sweet smell of a gardenia blossom
and the delicate aroma of the sulfur rose, eagle.

That's my guess.  Cool

"Today's Pop Five: undeadhead's tribute to Winona Ryder"

One writer's top five things she misses about Winona...includes comment on a great scene in Mermaids and a lovely early 90's pic...
