Hunger – Very good film, but a highly disturbing and more often than not, a highly uncomfortable film to watch. Brilliant acting, though!

Moon – Absolutely LOVED it!!! What made me love it even more is when I found out there were no special effects (CGI) used and was filmed entirely on a London soundstage! Sam Rockwell was great, as usual! I tell ya, this guy is such an underrated actor - it's unbelievable! Overall, the film was very entertaining! It was also very well written and directed by non other then David Bowie’s son; Duncan Jones. I can totally see this becoming a Sci- fi classic in the future!

The Hurt Locker – I don’t know… I’m still up in the air on this one.  I think I have to see it again. At this point, I don’t quite understand all the buzz that surrounds it. I thought it was a pretty good, but mostly just okay. I should see it again I think. Though all that said, I am still rooting for Kathryn Bigelow to take home the gold on Sunday… just because I do NOT want to see it go to James Cameron (cannot stand him, as a filmmaker or a public figure)!

A Serious Man – Ah, the Coen Brothers… what can one say… they are a very interesting and original duo to say the least. This film is one that must be viewed more than once. It's like a puzzle the need figuring out. I’ve seen it twice now and still need time digesting what I saw the first time. I thought it was very entertaining, had great acting, dialogue, cinematography was beautiful etc…. it just has one of those endings... don’t know what to say, really... just go see it!

An Education – Very disappointing! I really don’t know what I expected… but it was not this. Peter Sarsgard, for some reason annoyed the hell out of me. One the other hand, Carey Mulligan was charming and very likable. She did a nice job.

Avatar – Meh… visually stunning, but that’s about it.

The only best picture nominee I have to see is “Precious.” That will be tomorrow.

I think end of the film was soo cliche. carey was great but script has some problems and somehow irritated the audience.

Precious is really well-done film, but it may fade out all your night. but if you can stand first half hour, you can watch Hunger even smiling (;

^^^ Yeah, I didn't think it was all that great. I did like it, just didn't love it! I think it was a well told story and had some funny and interesting scenes. That being said, I just can't understand all the Oscar nominations (Best Director, best Actor, two Best supporting actress noms AND best picture...huh?) Huh?  I feel like George Clooney has played this type of role countless times. I read a review that said he could've played this role in his sleep and that is exactly the way felt... Clooney was just 'playing Clooney'. Vera Farmiga being nominated remains a mystery to me, while it was a fine performance, I don't think it merits an oscar nomination for best actress of the year. The same thing goes for Anna Kendrick, though she was the best part of the film (minus that crying scene). But to top it all off...Best picture of 2009... Perhaps I simply missed something here.  sad yes

Yeah, especially if you've never heard of it before or have been asleep forever - like me. Hmm, anyhow, it seems very interestingly drawn. I like Eddie Albert; Bancroft was a snarzy tease. Now I'm going to have to track it down and view it. Is it on DVD, Chris? (I'm guessing not) I mean, I guess I could find out for myself in cyberspace here but then I don't want to take just another trip to multiple Not-here-ville's, you know what I mean. Yep.

If you liked An Education try this. after that you'll think an education is very silly.

The last film I watched in theater is "Avatar."  At home, 'Little Women' (I watch it over and over again!)
