Saw this yesterday! It was a very good film... a bit uneven at times, but seeing Tom Waits playing the devil was well worth of the rough edges! I plan to see it again, as I think it does take a few views for the whole thing to sink in. One thing is for certain, Terry Gilliam has a great mind. I hope Winona will get to work with him one day!

I watched 500 Days Of Summer last night. It was well made and a good story but I pretty much hated it hahaha. Tongue  I can't watch Zooey Deschanel in anything. She's too damn adorable.

Avatar. This is my niece and I in the theater => Shocked Shocked Now the story itself was kinda corny or very cliche but the effects are amazing. Saw it in 3d and it was the 1st time I've seen a film in 3d. I thought the 3d was going to look all fake and stuff but wow it works! If you can go and see it in 3d try too even if it costs a little bit more (an extra 2 or 3 bucks I think).

How weird film.. I can't explain. It's good thriller, really good acting, but frustrating!!

I seen this with my pop late Sunday evening; we are starting to see films together more often, its becoming a trend, which is good for me. He's very old you see.  Smiley

Mel Gibson is emotionally charged in this engaging thriller's story which makes you think about some evil government actions that may be happening as we just carry out our usual daily lives unaware of seemingly possible conspiracies that end in tragedy.
In a sensible way, I thank God we have strong-willed activists that try to...I better stop... for more than one reason. Um...yeah. Yep.
happy yes

So how did you generally like that film, Chris? Did you find it... Up in the Air? Did your ready man make a connection to the story? I have yet to find mine with this or that.  But not because it seems very interesting with all its strange allure...only, perhaps, that its...up in the air.   Undecided  Roll Eyes  Wink

Avatar is the last film I saw. Visually amazing, and yes 3-D actually works these days. It is to 2010 what Jurassic Park was to 1993. A film that redefines what can be done on screen.

The script is not the strongest point in the film. It is fairly predictable, with lots of things blowing up as usual for Hollywood. Quite a few things the characters do don't make sense. Some think it is very anti-American, but I don't think the film really has any clear message other than...buy a ticket.

Still, it is very much worth seeing.

Post Grad...expected to see an updated Reality Bites and sadly it is not...

Alexis Bledel is a blue-eyed cutie...bright and clumsy/semi-geeky like Lelaina, but alas the rest of the cast and the script struggle...even Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton as her dad) is unfunny...

2 stars...
