Winona Ryder is Beyond Compare!

« on: November 24, 2008, 05:37:47 AM »

Another Winona Ryder first for me, last month when "Beetlejuice" came out on Blu-ray. I had to buy a Blu-ray player. I wasn't disappointed, the quality of Blu-ray really made watching "Beetlejuice" a real treat, outstanding picture and sound quality. ----- I thought it was fitting to go Blu-ray on the 20th year anniversary of my seeing Winona, for the first time, in "Beetlejuice" in a theater. ----- Smiley Rusty

Hi,
I've the HD-DVD and BLU-RAY version of "A Scanner Darkly", but I didn't buy the players yet.  sad no

I just have received the Mr. Deeds Original Soundtrack, and all I'd got from it, is a menu with access to a trailer, different games, but:  Angry I can't listen to the music  Angry .

Anyone else have the same problem?

Here are some pictures of what I see when I play de CD (Enhanced CD, what's that?  Huh? )

MENU

EMILIO'S GAME

"IF YOU CLICK, TO QUIT"

BY CLICKING, QUIT

I don't see any option, to hear the Original Soundtrack. Huh??

 wacko Bye bye.

New_Land, the Mr. Deeds Soundtrack is an enhanced cd because it has all of that extra stuff on it (the trailer, games, etc.). To listen to the music, you have to close out of the enhanced cd part (just click quit where it says click here to quit) and then open the cd up in some kind of audio player on your computer (like itunes or something). I hope that helps, that's what I had to do to get it to play the music on my computer  Smiley

Rusty, I think that I just might have to get myself a blu-ray player. I've heard great things about them, plus I just found this limited edition Heathers locker at amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Heathers-Limited-Box-Winona-Ryder/dp/B001DHXSY4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1228177972&sr=8-2
it looks awesome, and comes with a blu-ray version of Heathers along with a bunch of other stuff like a t-shirt, magnets, a yearbook and the standard 2 disc version of Heathers.

New Land and Ty, Blu-ray players are great for watching your regular DVD movies. The picture quality is enhanced quite a bit. ----- A couple of weeks ago I saw "A Scanner Darkly" for sale in the store for $24.99, I didn't buy it. When I got home I watched my regular DVD copy and it was as clear and sharp as it could be. ----- I've only bought eight movies on Blu-ray. The better picture quality is good, but not that good enough to pay almost double the price of regular DVD movies. Smiley ----- Rusty

I did it since I received the Soundtrack CD. In this Soundtrack enhanced cd, when you click "QUIT" there is a few seconds of credits, and then, the flash application returns to Windows.

I tried to play the music with:

Video Lan Player.
Windows Media Player.
Itunes Player.

And all I can see is the trailer.  Huh?

I don't know what happen  Wink

See You.

Ps.: Rusty, did you played any HD DVD?, how it goes with that format on your TV?.

Grin I think this Soundtrack can't be played on a computer  Grin

This Player locates the drive letter, but doesn't play anything.
Free Cd Player

WMP:
With Windows Media Player

WMP2:
"The only content: Trailer"

Itunes:
Nothing in Music Library, only the Trailer

Contextual Menu:
It plays the trailer with the default Player

HD DVD is the loser between the war with Blu-ray and HD DVD, and HD DVD discs can't be played on a Blu-ray player, New Land. Smiley ----- I wish they could be played on a Blu-ray player, because the last few weeks I've stopped by my local Fry's Electronics store a few times. It kills me to see movies on HD DVD discs being sold for just about $7 each because HD DVD players aren't being made anymore and buying the HD DVD discs would be like buying eight-track tapes, totally useless. ----- Cheesy Rusty

iTunes was the only thing that opened it up on my computer, so I don't know  Doh!
have you tried just playing it in a cd player or dvd player not on the computer?

I just looked at the "Mr. Deeds" enhanced CD case. Look on the back and read the fine print and read the system reqquirements, that might be helpful for you guys. Smiley ----- I tried the CD in my Blu-ray and only can play the music tracks.  While the music plays the screen has colored lights out of focus in a line across the screen( like a city way off in the distance). And the Dolby stereo sound from my flat screen TV is just great. ----- [cheers] ----- Rusty
