Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards) Live on Austin's KUT 90.5 JUNE 16, 2010:

1. New song
2. Sway
3. Runnin'

http://kut.org/items/show/21310

Untitled New Song - Erika Wennerstrom

Staring out at the city skyline
A marathon is going down the street
And we're all racing for our own reasons
And sometimes in the middle we all meet

On this long race home
On this long race home

Came to another fork in the road
That's where we decided to part
And no one said anything for hours
We were under the same familiar stars

On this long road home
On this long road home

And we all want to belong
To Something more than, more than ourselves
And you can't always do it alone
Sometimes you just need, need a little help

On this long way home
On this long way home

And I know I, I ran so far
That I'd forgotten what I was running from
And time it, it takes you so far
And and I am longing to be back home

On this long way home
On this long way home
On this long way home
On this long way home

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home

HmmmHmmm

Yeah, I know, I've been on a thirty-eight year  Big Mac Rebbencak kick. I seen him at festivals, in arenas and in clubs that held maybe three hundred people. He has such a repertoire, blues, pop, jazz, zydeco ,boogie-woogie, big band, funk, Mississippi mud , every show is different. 55 years in the business, a record executive when he was fifteen. Someone shot off his finger so he set down his guitar and took up the piano, his wife stabs him, he finds a new wife, survived thirty years of heroin addiction but never went on Oprah, he just kept on going, the guy is the cockroach of American music.
He walks on gilded splinters.
The gris-gris man.
Because if he don't do it,somebody else will.

Dr.John

Awesome... I would've loved to see him live during his Night Tripper years! He is surely a one of a kind! I hope to see him again live- soon!

You see that he's starting to pick up the guitar again! guitar

Also, you know he has a new record called "Tribal" coming out in August!

Thanks for those,Chris. They were great. I have seen him play almost twenty times and I've never seen him pick up a guitar.

I'm looking forward to "Tribal".

One of the best shows I've been to in a while!

My view at the show! (In fact, at the beginning of the video that is my head in the bottom right corner.) Cheesy :
