Winona Ryder is Beyond Compare!

« on: May 11, 2008, 04:30:36 PM »

Directed by Gillian Armstrong ----- Starring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Gabriel Byrne, Trini Alvarado, Samantha Mathis, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Christian Bale, Eric Stolz, John Neville, Mary Wickes. Beautiful movie version of the novel by Louisa May Alcott, the story of four sisters and their mother during the Civil War. ----- So many movie critics and people think that this fourth movie remake of "Little Women" is the absolute best, due to the terrific cast headed by Winona's outstanding performance as Jo March. Winona's only Oscar nomination for Best Actress ----- What do all of you think? And even if you don't like the movie what faults do you find in the movie? Cheesy ----- Rusty

----- Thanks Godrex, I had made the poll with no problems, but when I tried to edit that incorrect movie length, I ran into the old snag I had some time ago. ----- Smiley Rusty

My all time favourite Winona film, no question. Any film is only as good as it's weakest link, "Little Women" just doesn't have any. Acting, direction and adaptation couldn't be improved on.

 Cheers
There are two scenes in "Little Women" that I can shed a tear or two, almost everytime I watch the movie. The first scene is when Beth (Claire Danes) receives the piano as a gift, she is so overwhelmed to get it as a gift you can cry for joy for her. Smiley ----- And I can cry in another way in another scene when Jo is trying to comfort Beth as she is dying. The scene really is sad as Jo walks to the window, and as she turns around to see Beth, who just passed away. What a sad scene in "Little Women". ------ I'm glad to see so many positive votes for one of Winona Ryder's classic movies! ----- Cheesy Rusty
