so, Turkey through... and what a dulllllllllll game it was! if both teams played like in the 2nd extra time, when they should have, it could have been a good match... anyways, Croatia is out the worst possible way - on penalties - and Turkey further... if you ask me, it wasn't the better one that passed through

It was a thrilling game again. And I'm so happy we're through the semi-finals. But to be honest Crotia was the better side. But this is football. While the game was being played there was no single person on the streets, everyone was watching the game. Seconds after penalties finished people ran into streets with flags and for hours celebrated. It was a very happy night. Now we'll face Germany. We have % 10 chance but who knows, maybe another miracle happens. Plus, after and before the game Crotian fans tried to provocate Turkish fans in Wien and there were many fights. I talked to a friend of mine from Austria. He said police had to seperate the regions where Turks and Crotians live with a barricate.

Yeah it was a quite exciting game. Congratz to Russia. They are on top of their form. Today Spain will face Italy. My heart says Spain but I guess Italy will come through with its experience.

i totally agree, Netherland-Russia was one amazing match, with the better one winning in the end... it's funny that todays holland's trainer (Van Basten) was playing his best for the Holland's team when todays russian trainer (Hidding) was selector for holland's team... so, the student didn't beat the master, but both sides were just amazing!
and god, can't believe that the Spain-Italy game was even duller than the Croatia-Turkey! i seriously thought i'll fall asleep 99% of time, and the remaining 1% i was cursing how useless they all were! both spanish and italian footballers were giving out passes (typically to the opposing side's footballers) when they should have shot, and shooting when they should have passed the ball!... i can't say if the better side won or lost, cuz both teams were just awfully worthless...
outcome of todays match? it's a shame that one of them had to go through to semifinal, since neither of them deserved it, and that in yesterdays (NED-RUS) match one had to fall out, since the match was one of the best on the Euro'08 so far...
anyways, if both teams will play the way they did today and yesterday, Spain will badly loose to Russia on 26. ...
so, now pause till 25.'s Germany-Turkey... my guess - final will be Germany-Russia, with Russia being the champion

so, tomorrow it's the Germany-Turkey game... who'll win? Germany with its strong defense and well organized play, or Turkey with its boring and worthless game and luck?
anyways, already few days ago i realized - there's no 2nd final? who'll be 3rd? or it's just that both losers from semifinals will be regarded to be 3rd?

I think you're a little bit unfair with Turkiye, dude. I agree, we played not very well, not even "good" but at the final minutes of Swiss and Czech games we played very offensive and exciting. : Tonight it'll be a very though game for us. We have a very little chance but why not ? This is football.

I agree, we played not very well, not even "good" but at the final minutes of Swiss and Czech games we played very offensive and exciting. you're right, i have to give credit to you, that unlike swiss and czech teams, you sure did play whole 90min... to me, the turkish games were among the most boring ones at this euro, but tonight you sure did play well (with 9 missing players, you were in fact playing with your B-team, but it sure played muchhh better than your A-team )... so, turkey is out, but on the other hand, you did get to semifinals (for the first time in history, right?), and you did play 3:2 with germans, which by itself is a good result, even though you lost... germans were pretty much de-concentrated most of the game, had many bad passes, and the turkish pressing sure had good results; on the other hand, turks were pretty much without ideas when they got within 16m, while germans used pretty much all they got... so, cheers to turkey, it sure ain't bad to be 3rd with spain or russia (spain is my guess for the other 3rd team)... i very much hope that tomorrow russia will play the way they did with holland; if so, i expect something like 4:1 or 4:2 for russia...

so, Russia is out... what to say? they sure played lousy, like it's their first appearance on Euro... where's the team that totally destroyed Holland? what kind of team shoots for the first time on target in 88th min?! on the other hand, Spain was a totally different team than in 1/4-finals also... their game pretty much reminded me of Russia's game against Holland - nice goals, fast passes... just neat! so, after 24 yrs Spain is in finals, and Germany after 12 yrs (with last 2 Euros falling out already in groups)... i have no more predictions for the finals now... Germany plays consistently "bad" - slow and dull football, but most of the time, they don't make any big mistakes in defence, and they sure use all chances they get... Spain plays totally inconsistently - one match dull and without ideas, another nice and fast (with many mistakes, yes, but still effective enough to win)... if i had to choose, Germany will win (most probably in extra time); it just seems to me more probable...

Spain is the new Europe's champion in football!honestly, the match itself was nothing special to me... but i have to say, the better one did win. otherwise, this Euro was probably most boring one play-wise i saw so far, but there sure were some surprises - Turkey in semi's, Russia beating Holland, etc. ...
