On Monday the decisive game Austria-Germany.... I hope that Cordoba '78 won't be repeated.... Is it true that if the match Czech Republic vs. Turkey ends as a draw there will be a penalty? And if Holland wants to save energy it could be possible that they won't win against Romania, if there is a draw and the match Italy-France is also a draw, ITALY and FRANCE will be OUT.....

it's enough for us to just beat Turks on 15., and we're through If the game ends as a draw, then it'll directly go to penalties. It would be real bad for the a side to loose the quarter finals at penalties. You Czechs play very collective and physcially real strong, on the other hand our team is based on technical abilities. So it will be a interesting game I think, everything is possible. Good luck ! yep, it sure will be interesting... imo, if czechs will play whole match in the style they played 1st half with portugal, they're through... on the other hand, if they'll play like in the 2nd half with portugal, it's at best draw, more probably turkey through... we'll see, let the better (and/or luckier one) win penalties are tricky swines for czechs - but after all, that's how we won euro '76... i'm sorry, dear... france sure played good, much better than against romania, but they made too many simple mistakes, and (shamefully) henry was almost totally unused... plus, imo, anelka should have played since the start of the match... Is it true that if the match Czech Republic vs. Turkey ends as a draw there will be a penalty? yep; both have 3 points and score 2:3, so only penalties can then solve the draw And if Holland wants to save energy it could be possible that they won't win against Romania, if there is a draw and the match Italy-France is also a draw, ITALY and FRANCE will be OUT..... that's not the funniest part; funniest part is, that if holland will want to, and will let romania win e.g. 1:0, then even if italy or france win in their match, they're out, since romania would have 5 points! anyways, tomorrow sweden-spain! can't wait!... and after that, greece-russia, with both desperately in the need of the win...

OUT!!!!!

If I remember correctly then Romania could even LOSE 0:2 against Holland and would nevertheless reach the quarters (if there will be a DRAW between France and Italy). All (Romania, France, Italy) had 2 points then but Romania the better goal difference. WHAT will happen IF Holland wins 3:0 against Romania and Italy plays 0:0 against France??? A penalty shoot-out with 3 teams? The direct comparison between these 3 teams had no winner (only draws).... Can anyone please tell me if the possible penalties (when the Czechs play a draw against Turkey) will be after 90 minutes or after an extra time?

yep, the game sure was incredible... and the czechs played just how i didn't want them to play - excellent 1st half, lousy 2nd... congratz to turks, they were not really better, but they sure did play for 90 mins, unlike czechs who played about 60 mins and then switched off... and good luck without volcan sure stupid way to get red card in 90th min... so, it's turks vs croatia in 1/4-finals, and portugal vs ?... - we'll see tomorrow

1 day late, 2nd round of groups: Group ACzech Republic 1-3 Portugal Switzerland 1-2 Turkey Group BCroatia 2-1 Germany Austria 1-1 Poland Group CItaly 1-1 Romania Netherlands 4-1 France Group DSweden 1-2 Spain Greece 0-1 Russia If I remember correctly then Romania could even LOSE 0:2 against Holland and would nevertheless reach the quarters (if there will be a DRAW between France and Italy). All (Romania, France, Italy) had 2 points then but Romania the better goal difference. WHAT will happen IF Holland wins 3:0 against Romania and Italy plays 0:0 against France??? A penalty shoot-out with 3 teams? The direct comparison between these 3 teams had no winner (only draws).... well, yeah, currently Romania has 2 points and 1:1 score, while both Italy and France have 1 point and 1:4 score... the solution to this is not clear to me, probably it really would have to be 3 rounds of penalties (each against each)... another posibility - there will be only penalties Italy-France, to determine winner of the ITA-FRA match; that would then determine all (not too fair to Romanians, but imo most probably option) on the other hand, 1) Holland will most probably (just like Portugal today) put in their "B"-team, so I wouldn't be much surprised even if Romania wins (not that Holland would mind that that much as a result), and 2) I don't think Italy and France will play for draw...

France is out, sorry Peg they sure played better in 10 that in full number, but 1 man short, that's too much to handle, and it sure was obvious last 20 minutes, how tired all were... it almost looked like the match doesn't want the french - red card, penalty, then Henry touching the ball just in the way that it fooled goalkeeper, but it ended up in a goal... and "bad luck" to Romania also, but I guess they're not really team to play in Euro Q-finals, when they can't beat Holland's B-team... tomorrow - "totally unimportant" Spain-Greece, and deciding Sweden-Russia... imo, it's Sweden through, but who knows?... anyways, draw is enough for Sweden, thanks to a better score, Russia needs a win

well, 1st thing to say - what a game Russia played with Sweden! wow! they're so much playing like Holland (no wonder, when they have hollander trainer)... now it'll be interesting to see them actually play with Holland in 1/4-finals! and as for todays Portugal-Germany, it sure was a totally different german team than in the group! all 5 goals in the game were just high class goals, that's for sure, but in the end, Germany did deserve the win... Portugal didn't have their act up at all, the only shot that Nuno Gomes got to was goal, yes, but that was all we saw from him! and Ronaldo... tomorrow, Croatia-Turkey, possibly very interesting or very un-interesting game; my tip - Croatia through, to meet once more Germany in semifinals; as for then, in the light of todays game, it'll be much harder for Croatia to beat Germany, as they did in the group...

Wow what kind of a game was that ? (Turkiye - Czech) It was very interesting and exciting. After the third goal I shouted so loudly that the next day I couldn't speak properly. Soon Tur-Cro game will start. I predict a 1-0 Tur win. And about Volkan. He has seriously mental problems. Give him up.

Dear Corky I read something real interesting right now, I want to ask you. A newspaper says Raymond Domenech has made a marriage offer to a sports speaker named Estelle Denis on live. Is that true ?

Dear Corky I read something real interesting right now, I want to ask you. A newspaper says Raymond Domenech has made a marriage offer to a sports speaker named Estelle Denis on live. Is that true ? yes it is....this guy isn't able to manage French Soccer team & when some journalists ask him what will be his future (professionally) ,he just says he would marry Estelle Denis....people here are not glad at all.... Ps: to some Sports speaker who works with her & asked her if she would accept she just didn't reply & wasn't smiling much.....
