I decided to start the topic because of one quite important thing for me. Today I signed in for a full length (42 km) skate marathon which will be held on May 4th. I'm really, really excited about it.

I used to skate only in the city to get to some places faster than on foot and this is my first attempt in any competition.

I don't count on any high place in the standings, but my goal is to finish, not be last and to have some fun Smiley

I've already ordered a helmet and a new set of wheels (slightly bigger which I hope will result in higher speed :>). Now I just need to clear the bearings and train Cheesy

A few years ago I tried out for an office Softball team.  Didn't make the cut because apparently I throw and hit like a girl Angry (that was the coach's assessment not mine).

It's in Cracow. The whole track is in the city.

Unfortunately, my rollerblades broke down and I'll miss the event Sad

I play tennis, soccer, and American football.  I played in high school and in intramural college leagues.  I tried out to be Purdue's placekicker but I got hurt and couldn't continue.  I've been thinking of going to a pro tryout to give it another shot.  I also run, bike and downhill ski as much as I can.  I play tennis the most, usually 3-4 times a week.  I'm good but nowhere near professional level.  I probably could have played for a smaller college, but now I just play competitive people from my area and have a lot of fun with it.
