But that's illegal!

Yep I've put ads on the board. I have them on my other pages but they're not doing much for me. I thought that since this site gets a lot more traffic than any other I'm hosting, I might as well put an unobtrusive ad at the bottom of the page where it won't really bother anyone (and if it really does bother you, you can always use ad blocker plug ins for your browser - I do for annoying ads).

I've been begging for money over at my radio station and not really expecting any, but it would be nice if I could get some clicks on the ads. If I get enough over time I might actually see some money (haven't received a penny yet - you have to reach $100 dollars before google will cut you a check.)

I figure it's worth a try anyway...

So click an the ad once in a while to help pay for this site (and if you're really loaded make a donation to my PayPal account - garyod@ptd.net hehehe Wink )

edit - I think I also get money if you use the Google search on the site (though you have to click on an ad on the results page)... so give that a try too if you feel like it. Thanks Smiley

well, good it's just google ads... the only kind of ads i don't really mind that much - text based; i simply hate ads that use graphics (one of reasons i don't use my yahoo mail account at all, haha)...

good luck with reaching the $100 level! be sure i'll click here and there something Smiley

Yeah I'll need some luck for sure. I've had ads on my pages since september 06 and I'm only up to $22...  so I'll need luck and a miracle hahaha. Wink

Oh and actually the ads are a mix of text and graphics... sorry about that. Get ABP for your browser and you'll never see them. happy yes

well it was $40 for 2 years of 2 domains (so ten a year), and on my plan I host 5 domains with unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth.

When I was looking around for hosting for my site I read somewhere that the unlimited bandwidth deals were a scam. If you try to use too much bandwidth then your account will be closed.

Steadfast might meet your needs for a little over $50 a year.

OK Don, you want to move 5 domains worth of stuff for me? And then make sure it all works again - - don't forget all the databases. Tongue

BTW - the Steadfast $50 basic plan offers 500MB of disk space. My sites are currently using 2785MB. The Silver plan offers 3000MB of space for $212 per year!  Shocked  if I was getting that my renewal would have been $464 for two years instead of $246, and we'd be near the limit for disk space. So everyone please stop trying to find me a better deal hehehe. I've been very happy with this host. In my time online this has been the best one I've used. They even helped me out with my radio station, allowing outgoing connections, something most hosts won't do.

Just click an ad once in a while. Thanks Smiley

btw - there's no chance of us using "too much" bandwidth, whatever that is.
