Maybe thats depends whom you ask.... At the Hamburg "premiere" were I was yesterday there were many old trek fans - including me - some even in costumes and there were scene-applause and a long round of applause at the end When the title "Winona Ryder" graced the screen and every actor got his applause I gave an extra "whoop" for Noni....

excerpts from fan-reviews over trekmovie.com Ben Cross was an admirable Sarek. Indeed, Sarek’s admission of his love for Amanda and Winona Ryder’s (too) brief appearance in that role add a whole new dimension to two wonderful characters. This is why it’s so great to recast roles: new actors can’t fail to bring something different to the characters.
There also were the obvious removed Klingon sequences and Winona Ryder scenes which positively scream for an extended edition.
And, my word! Amanda Grayson dying along with Vulcan! We’d known Vulcan was likely to buy the farm, but I didn’t anticipate Amanda Grayson’s death. It gave the scale of Vulcan’s destruction an added depth. On top of that, Spock and Kirk have both lost a parent to Nero, increasing their brotherly bond.
The casting was superlative, and Winona Ryder brought a tear to my eye.
Winona Rider fine as Amanda. Would have liked to see more.
My only real issue with the movie is the lack of screentime given to Winona Ryder (Amanda, Spock’s mother) I hope this opinions also end up at the studio-execs....

That was a great summer movie as well as a Trek film Tight pacing (2 hours go by fast!) and great acting all round. The effects, well what does one expect from ILM Winona's scenes are so few though and the lens flares get out of control sometimes. And from a fanboy perspective I don't like the new E's nacelles.

I saw the new "Star Trek" on May 14th. Great movie, but Winona's screentime was so short. ----- Rusty

----- ----- Glad to hear Winona's role part in the movie was appreciated by so many people. ----- Can any one give an educated guess why Winona's name was listed with the other main actors and actresses (each separately on the screen) in the ending credits before the smaller roles. It was strange to see her name listed that way even though our lovely Winona's role is just an extended cameo. ----- Rusty

If someone is part of "Main Credits" normally means he/she gets "Main Cash".
The starring order:
1. Before the Title - Main cast, get the most 2. After the Title - Supporting cast, get money depending with how many other names there are on screen 3. Special Credit - any name preceeding with "And", "Special Appearance" and so for get more than the supporting cast 4. Only on the Closing titles roll - Minor Supporting cast
Assuming she's on the Main Titles - even if they're here after the actual movie - she might got the same per-day salary as the other primary castmembers. Plus - depending on contact - revenue percentage, but with this many main castmembers I guess everyone only gets 0,5% to 1,0% - meaning as Trek reaches its $300 million worldwide Noni might get $1,5m - $3m in addition to her per-day salary already paid.
